WEEKLY SHCEDULE OF CLASSES
- The Art of stunts - 4 days a week – 60 mins a day
- Choreography of the fight scene - 4 days a week – 90 mins a day
- Structure and Dynamics of Rigging – 2 days a week - 90 mins a day
90 minute long classes will have a 15 min break after 45 mins.

The Art of stunts
The art of stunts includes both practical exercises and theoretical training. The art of the stuntman includes imitation of a bullet hitting, a straight fall. Falls from a height. Principles of working with an actor. Work with props. Safety equipment for both personal and team safety.
Choreography of the fight scene
The choreography of battle scenes involves the study of hand-to-hand combat techniques for filming. Both with bare hands and using cold weapons.
Structure and Dynamics of Rigging
rope access from heights, rigging, working on ropes in battle scenes and during explosions. Work on Ramps.
The Art of stunts
1 - 2 weeks
- Fundaments of the Art of Stunts (Theory)
- Imitation of lead hit in different styles and variety of falls.
3 weeks
- Imitation of lead hit in different styles with SFX
- (Special capsules are placed on the body, which explodes and bleeds)
4- 5 week
- Preparing insurance for free falls
- Variety of free falling from 3- 4 meters. (without barrier)
6 week
- Reviewing the material – test
7 week
- Variety of free falling from 3- 4 meters.
- (Barrier-window, balcony and stair railing)
8-9 weeks
- Crushing through the artificial glass and free falling from 3-4 meters.
- (The stunt is carried out by the help of SFX crew.
- Safety techniques
10 week
- Working on the ramps, including falling.
11 week
- Free falling from 1,5 – 2 meters onto the solid objects (Table, chair, board or other) drop and crush.
13– 14 weeks
- Falling and rolling down the stairs.
- Roll from a cliff.
- Reviewing and revising material
- Period of final exams.
Choreography of the fight scene
1 week
- Studying of fist hits from a static position
- Studying foot strikes from a static position
- Stretching, physical training.
2 week
- Study of combat positions
- Hand and foot strikes from a standing combat position.
- Use of protective equipment for combat scenes.
3 week
- Development of combat techniques with a partner
- While developing martial arts, keeping the distance and feeling the rhythm with the partner.
4 week
- Imitation of getting hit on the body in battle scenes.
- Falls - Drops during the battle scene.
5 - 6 week
- Practice with props cold weapons - knife, sword, spear.
7 - 8 week
- Short fight scene with a partner - (with bare hands)
9 - 10 week
- Short fight scene with a partner - (with weapons)
- Function of ‘Extras’ as Stunt performers (Theory)
11 week
- Fighting scenes (with 2-3 partners) for historical genre films.
- Working in the background in battle scenes.
12 weeks
- Reviewing and revising material
- Period of final exams.
Structure and dynamics of Rigging
1 – 2 week
- Vest and protector for rigging stunts
- Proper use of equipment.
- Safety techniques.
3 – 4 week
- Partner insurance during the performance of the stunt.
- Jump from a height of 5-6 meters - through the rope.
- Jump upwards in a vertical position with 2-3 turns, spinning.
- Jump on low barriers (1-1.5 meters)
5 week
- Use of air rigging in battle scenes
- Descending from the height forward (with ropes)
- Descending from the height on the back (with ropes)
6 week
- Reviewing the material – test
7-8-9 week
Air rigging stunts with acrobatic elements (front and back somersault, 720 degrees and 1080 degrees)
10-11 week
- Field Training - Stage shooting with aerial rigging stunts.
- (Aluminum truss is mounted on the crane)
12 - week
Use of firearms in the movie
- Students will get in touch with this direction during lectures of Art of Stuntmen, Rigging stunts.
- Firearms handling and safety techniques on set.
- Disassembled and reassembled firearms as a training version.
- Grasp the firearm correctly during the shooting.
- Properly catch and fire firearms during tactical movement.

Professional Biography of tutors-instructors
David Khubua – Stuntsman, Stuntsmen department coordinator, Action Director.
He has worked on more than 80 international movie projects and has more than 25 years of experience in the field.
Giorgi Ustarashvili - Stuntsman, Master of Kong Fu. He has participated in more than 30 international movie projects and has more than 10 years of experience in the field.
David Karkini – Stuntsman, Master of sports acrobatics. He has participated in more than 20 international movie projects and
has more than 7 year experience in the field.
Shota Ghughunishvili - Stuntman - Master of Rigging - 5 years of experience in the field.
Weekly photo and video footage will be provided and at the end of the
3 month long course, it will be delivered to the students.
Showreel will be provided for students as well.
